Golden Sultana and Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!



This recipe is for Golden Sultana and Cranberry Oatmeal Cookies. These are wonderful for anyone who loves oats, and any dried fruit can be added.
This recipe makes 15 cookies.

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Plain Flour
2. Ground Cinnamon
3. Salt
4. Baking Soda
5. Butter
6. Caster Sugar
7. Brown Sugar
8. Eggs
9. Vanilla Flavouring
10. Oats
11. Golden Sultanas
12. Dried Cranberries

Bismillah, let's start!

First, preheat the oven to Gas Mark 5.


Place 6 ounces plain flour into a bowl.




Add 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.




Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon baking soda.




Stir all the dry ingredients to combine, and set aside.




Into the bowl of a Kitchen Aid, place 4 ounces softened butter.




Add 3 ounces caster sugar.




Add 3 ounces brown sugar.




Beat together until combined.




Add 2 eggs, and 1 teaspoon vanilla flavouring




Beat until combined.




Add the flour mixture.




Stir until combined.




Add 12 ounces oats.




Add 3 ounces golden sultanas




Add 3 ounces dried cranberries. I love the colour of these - they look amazing!




Beat together until combined.




Roll out teaspoon size balls, and then flatten them. You can make them bigger if you want.
Bake in the preheated oven at Gas Mark 5 for 15 minutes until brown.




Cool on a wire rack, and enjoy!
