Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I feel like May was split in two - before Ramadan and Ramadan.
In the days leading up to Ramadan, I shot a lot of blog content to keep things going during the blessed month. One recipe that I made quite a few times was falooda. I'll be sharing the full recipe on Saturday so get stocked up on jelly, noodles and rooh afza!
Here's my May 2018:
May 1: the sweetest crumbs.
May 2: all the sprinkles. I got mine here.
May 3: just call me the queen of wonky cakes. I used this recipe.
May 4: chutney ingredients.
May 5: making virgin mojitos on the hottest Saturday morning.
May 6: falooda with the family.
May 7: my first time cooking beef burgers on the barbecue.
May 8: cereal + milk.
May 9: you can't beat a cold fruit salad. this one was just chopped fruit with grapefruit, lime and orange juice.
May 10: dunking my cookies in sprinkles.
May 11: cherry tomatoes ready to roast.
May 12: you can't beat paratha achar.
May 14: falooda day.
May 15: a salmon lunch for a beautiful day.
May 16: cake assembly.
May 17: the first Iftar made even sweeter with all the baklava.
May 18: putting raspberries into my strawberry lemonade.
May 19: I never saw a better admonisher than the grave, or anything more satisfying than a book, or anything safer than lack of socialisation.
May 20: fresh crispy onion bhajis for Iftar.
May 21: prepping a corn salad.
May 22: ooh finally, I got a good swirl.
May 23: a bowl of hot chilli chips.
May 24: my favourite Iftar so far. the full recipe is here.
May 25: a just rolled roulade.
May 26: saturday night cheese and onion pasties.
May 27: all the chicken samosas.
May 28: put those leftover samosas into a chaat.
May 29: pizza night!
May 30: the first proper mangoes.
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!
