November 2018: One Photo Everyday.

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

We bought an Instant Pot!
I had been seeing them all over the Internet and when our pressure cooker packed in, decided to buy one.
Guys, I did not realise how much stuff this pot does. We bought it for the pressure cooker but it also is a rice cooker, slow cooker, and yoghurt maker. We're still getting used to it before we can recommend it to you but so far so good. It has been used to make a lamb curry and a really quick aloo palak.

Here's more from my November:

November 1: finally tried broccoli stuffed baked potatoes.

November 2: burger night!

November 3: whenever we make quesadillas, we must make fresh tomato salsa to go with them.

November 4: tried this fish from Aldi. they were huge! one was enough for two!

November 5: broccoli pakoras for monday!

November 6: finally tried out a keema naan recipe.

November 7: colouring is her new favourite thing!

November 8: when no one can be bothered to cook.

November 9: baked potatoes for dinner.

November 15: trying to perfect my swirl.

November 16: smoky!

November 17: you can't beat a chicken wrap especially when the wrap is a paratha.

November 18: these are better than actual Maltesers.

November 19: go-to weeknight dinner - pan-fried salmon + pesto pea pasta.

November 20: chickpea curry ready to eat with bhaturas. a similar chickpea curry for pooris is here!

November 21: achari roast chicken is our new favourite.

November 22: I threw the leftovers onto a naan pizza.

November 23: roasting a whole spiced cauliflower in coconut milk. the recipe is from this book.

November 24: I threw the leftover roasted cauliflower into macaroni cheese.

November 25: cooking my favourite kung pao chicken for my cousins.

November 26: we bought an Instant Pot after our old pressure cooker gave up.

November 27: my mother is the pie queen!

November 28: found her trying to get out of her castle!

November 29: food for a grey Thursday - aloo palak and apple blackberry crumble.

November 30: I'm trying to finish up a bunch of food in the deep freezer. Today, I found a bag of lamb sausages and roasted them to eat with this butternut squash soup.

I hope you guys had a great November. Here's to a productive December! Keep me in your duas please!
