In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
How are you guys? I hope you've had a good and relaxed August.
Mine has been filled with busy moments and quiet ones in equal measure. August was the month that we celebrated Eid Al-Adha which meant lots of food and family. It was also the last month of the Summer holidays and I managed to fit in a baking session with my nieces. We made homemade ice cream sandwiches! Hope you've had a good one!
August 1: Wednesday evening quick dinner in the making - a chickpea soup from this book. Had to stop halfway to go throw my neighbour his football back! 😐
August 3: tried a chicken adobo but it didn't turn out as I'd hoped.
August 4:thank you to the NHS for always taking such good care of my Mother.
August 5: tried these baked honey hot sandwiches for Sunday lunch. The chicken was baked on wire racks in the oven instead of frying it. It was ok but a real pain to clean up afterwards.
August 6: my peach and orange sorbet ready to churn. The recipe is in this book!
August 7: snacking on yoghurt with a spiced berry salad. Recipe in this book!
August 8: putting all our garden chives to good use in a salad dressing.
