Current Favourites #6: Missi Roti and More!

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Hope you're well!
I have another current favourites post for you.
This time, there's veggie samosas, a beef kofta curry and as shown in the photo above, traditional Pakistani missi roti.

Enjoy!

Tried out these chocolate churros from Aldi this week. They're in their frozen section!
Love their idea of having the chocolate in the middle. The picture doesn't really show it but their was loads of melted chocolate in each pastry.

Was in the mood for vegetable samosas this week.
I've posted both chicken and lamb samosa recipes but not found a good veggie one yet.

Fried and crispy!
We had these along with boiled rice and a quick garlic daal.

Leftover veggie samosa filling made a good pizza topping!

Missi roti night with quick garlic daal and spicy achar pickle.
Here's the recipe:

My first time cooking with celeriac!
Peeled and less scary looking.
Inspired by my cousin and her love for dauphinoise potatoes, I made a similar dish.
A celeriac and potato gratin!

And, November reds.

Picked this up from Aldi this week to make a cake for my coeliac Aunt.

The sponge was fantastic and really soft. I iced the cake with a chocolate cream cheese frosting. Really good!

Here is the full recipe --> giant chocolate chip cookie.

My Mother cooked the most delicious beef kofta curry this week. The recipe is here.
And, she baked up these spicy roast chicken thighs. Recipe is here.

Plus she fried up a batch of veggie pakoras for guests on Friday afternoon. See the recipe here.

I baked up a batch of masala chai chocolate chunk cookies.
Why is the unbaked cookie dough so pretty?
The cookies were the best, filled with lots of warming spices. I'm so happy that I have a small batch of the cookie dough still in the fridge.
