Favourites: baking my new favourite banana bread. I make it with wholemeal flour and sprinkle on a tonne of crunchy brown sugar before baking. you should definitely try it.
did you know you could marinade vegetables like you would meat? well, I didn't and when I finally did to make a biryani, these fresh veggies smelt so good with all their garam masala and fresh coriander marinade.
speaking of, a biryani must have fried onions running through it.
this was a vegetarian one and we baked it in the oven instead of the traditional stovetop steam. I think it's a good way to go especially if you're new to biryani making and scared of overcooking the rice.
my first time roasting purple cabbage! I also roasted broccoli to make grilled cheese sandwiches.
I whipped up a batch of these strawberry chocolate chip cookies on snapchat one friday afternoon.
they were so tasty! I'd forgotten how good they were.
my first time melting down marshmallows!
I stirred in rice krispies.
to make these super addictive treats. the turquoise ones were my favourite - I coloured white chocolate to pour over the top and it was so good!
homemade orange sugar!
ready to put into my chocolate orange scone loaf.
I finally cooked a shakshuka and didn't overcook the eggs!
first time shooting with daffodils this spring season.
I swear, nothing makes me happier than these bright, cheerful flowers. plus the scone loaf wasn't too bad either.
smoking chicken!
to make my new favourite burgers. the burger sauce is so good with pickled jalapenos and sweet chilli sauce!
using up all the jam.
to make tarts!
this heart one was my favourite.
this month, I made so many things in the food processor.
including these mini falafel!
grilling chicken kebabs!
anyone for a wrap?
making trifle with a strawberry, peach and pineapple jelly.
we made so much custard that it had to go in the biggest pot to cool down.
new photography surface! cannot wait to shoot more things on it!
going for umrah in the morning but still time for one last bake.
I baked giant peanut butter cookies with dark chocolate chips and took them with me!
first time eating beef curry and I actually liked it!
the best view to wake up to.
digital detox in Makkah was much-needed.
fried chicken sunday brunch in Madinah.
this mosque is the most beautiful.
Madinah has the sweetest, biggest fruit ever. the oranges were so good!
finally got onto the green carpet!
think we single-handedly kept this drinks kiosk in business the week we were there. their iced coffee was so good!
sweet pancakes for breakfast on the plane!
