Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
How are you?
How's your Sunday been?
Mine has been super busy and filled with pizza, rainbows and apple cake.
It's also been a special day because alhamdulillah, today marks four years since I randomly decided to start this blog.

This blog means a lot to me.
Something that even I, am quite surprised that I've kept up. I'm one of those people who is obsessed with something for a week or two at most and then is straight on to the next thing. I thought this blog would be the same but it seems not.

Testing, cooking, baking, styling, shooting, editing, uploading, writing, posting. This blog is hard work but I would not have it any other way.
And of course, without you on the other side of the screen, this blog would be nothing. For your comments, emails, likes and views, I thank you.

I want to end with a disaster of mine that took place the day before Eid-ul-Adha. I know a lot of you think that I'm a cooking and baking expert but unfortunately, I'm not. I'm still learning like the rest of you and I make mistakes in the kitchen every single day.
Like, the day before Eid. I wanted baked potatoes for lunch and so popped a few into bake. An hour later, I heard a thud from the kitchen but just assumed it was our football-obsessed neighbour playing with his new ball. It was only when a burning smell coming from the kitchen got me opening the oven door.
It was a disaster. Two of my three potatoes had exploded inside the oven. I had forgotten to prick the potatoes before baking.
I still cannot believe I forgot. Anyway, my story ends with me hoovering the inside of my oven on the day before Eid. A definite sight for sore eyes.
Finally, another thank you to you all for reading and supporting my blog.
And, the biggest thank you to my parents and family for being my biggest fans and patiently waiting while I photograph the food at every possible angle before serving. It has meant the world to me because this blog has saved me in more ways than one.
Here's to the next four years!

apple cake recipe / the pizza = naan + tinned tomatoes + lamb keema + corn + cherry tomatoes + jalapenos + cheese / my current favourite quote.
