Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Who doesn't love the peri peri flavour?
And, yes, you can buy the sauces and spice rubs in the shops these days, but sometimes I like to make my own. Here, is another of my homemade peri peri sauces - this time wrapped up in a tortilla wrap!

Bismillah, let's begin!
This is such an easy recipe. It's just a case of blending the marinade ingredients together, and then cooking with the chicken.
So, into a blender, place 2 Green Chillies.
3 Garlic Cloves, peeled
1 Bell Pepper, roughly chopped (use any coloured pepper you like)
Juice of 1/2 Lemon
1 tablespoon Paprika
1 teaspoon Salt
1 tablespoon Dried Oregano
1/2 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
4 tablespoons Olive Oil
2 tablespoons Malt Vinegar
And, Black Pepper, to taste.
Blend the sauce until smooth.
Then, take 1 pound of Boneless Chicken Pieces.
Add the sauce.
Mix and leave to marinade for a few hours.
Heat a few tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan, and cook the chicken on either side until completely cooked through.
Like this!
To make a quick sauce, mix together:
A few tablespoons of Mayonnaise
1 tablespoon of Tomato Ketchup
1/2 tablespoon of Hot Chilli Sauce
To assemble, take a warm tortilla wrap. I heated mine in the microwave for a few seconds.
Add a little sauce.
Some chicken - after further experiments, I realised that it's better to slice or shred the chicken than to add it whole.
And some salad (same here - make sure to slice it smaller than mine)
And wrap! I find it easier to wrap it this way because then nothing falls out but each to their own!
Serve the wraps on their own or with potato wedges!
