The Best Chocolate Brownies Ever!

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

This recipe is for Chocolate Brownies. Need I say more?
I have baked brownies before - check out My Fudgy Brownies and My Flourless Brownies. This recipe is a cross between the two - firm on the outside but squidgy and chocolatey in the middle!

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Milk Chocolate
2. Dark Chocolate
3. Butter
4. Brown Sugar
5. White Sugar
6. Eggs
7. Plain Flour

Bismillah, let's bake brownies!

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4.

Grease and line a large baking tray. The size of your brownies will depend on the size of your tray.

Next, take three ounces milk chocolate, and four ounces dark chocolate.

Place the chocolate in a heatproof bowl, and place over a pan of simmering water. Allow the chocolate to melt.

Add seven ounces butter to the melted chocolate. Try to use unsalted butter when baking.

Allow the butter to melt, and mix to combine. Remove from the heat, and set aside.

Next, place seven ounces of brown sugar into a bowl.

Add seven ounces white sugar.

Crack in four eggs.

Whisk with an electric mixer on high speed for ten minutes.

Pour the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.

Take eight ounces plain flour.

Add to the egg mixture.

Slowly start folding in the flour and chocolate.

It may seem like you're never going to get there ..

.. but you will!

Pour the mixture into the prepared tin.

Bake in the preheated oven at Gas Mark 4 for 30-35 minutes.

Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares. You can vary the recipe by adding nuts or chocolate chips. You could even ice the brownies with an icing once cooled. Be creative!
