Terry's Chocolate Orange Cupcakes

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

This recipe is for Terry's Chocolate Orange Cupcakes. These cupcakes are made using the all in one method, and so are a quick and yummy cupcake for anyone in need of a sweet treat in a hurry. The creamy chocolate orange icing can be made whilst the cupcakes bake, and then all you need to do is get creative and decorate!

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Butter
2. Caster Sugar
3. Eggs
4. Orange Zest
5. Self-Raising Flour
6. Cocoa Powder
7. Icing Sugar
8. Terry's Chocolate Orange

Bismillah, let's start!

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 4.

Into a bowl, place 6 ounces melted butter.

Add 6 ounces caster sugar.

Add 2 eggs.

Add the zest of 1 orange.

Add 7 ounces self-raising flour.

Add 1 tablespoon cocoa powder.

Stir everything well until just combined.

Place the mixture into cupcake cases and bake at Gas Mark 4 for 15 minutes.

Once the cupcakes are baked, cool completely on a wire rack.

To make the icing, place 4 ounces softened butter into a bowl.

Whisk the butter until creamy.

Add 8 ounces icing sugar.

Whisk in the icing sugar until creamy.

Take 6 segments of Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Melt for a few minutes in the microwave until smooth.

Add the melted chocolate to the icing.

Whisk until well combined and creamy.

Spread the icing onto the cupcakes.

Roughly chop more Terry's Chocolate Orange.

Decorate the cupcakes with the chopped chocolate.

Arrange the cupcakes onto a stand ..

.. and dive in and enjoy! These cupcakes are so yummy and the icing is silky smooth, and will be a hit with everyone, inshallah.
