Red Sauce

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

This recipe is for Red Sauce, and was given to me by one of my wonderful roommates. The sauce reminds me of my student days, and is extremely versatile. You can make it as spicy as you like, and serve it with absolutely anything but it is especially good with chips.

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Tomato Ketchup
2. Onions
3. Garlic
4. Green Chillies
5. Red Chilli Powder
6. Salt
7. Water

Bismillah, let's begin!

Take:
1 peeled and roughly chopped onion
1 green chilli
2 garlic cloves

Throw them into a blender jug.

Add 1 cup or a really good squeeze of tomato ketchup.

Season with salt.

Blend until smooth.

Add water depending on how thick or runny you want your sauce.

Add red chilli powder, to taste.

Blend until smooth, and taste for seasoning.

Serve with almost anything! If you want to, before serving, stir in finely chopped onions and green chillies. You can adjust all the ingredients to suit your tastebuds so have fun experimenting!

Wasalaam!
