Spicy Baked Tortilla Chips

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Who doesn't love a salty snack now again?

But most of the crisps in the shops these days aren't so good for us, and making these homemade ones is so easy. You can customise the seasoning any way you like.

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Tortilla Wraps

2. Vegetable Oil
3. Paprika
4. Garlic Powder
5. Salt

Bismillah, let's begin!

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6/400F/200C.

This is such an easy recipe that I can't believe I'm actually sharing it with you. Oh well!
Take 4 Flour or Corn Tortillas.

Slice each tortilla into triangles.

Brush both sides with a few tablespoons of Vegetable Oil.

Place onto a baking tray in a single layer. Bake in the preheated oven at Gas Mark 6 for 8 minutes or until golden and crispy.

Whilst the chips bake, prepare your spice mix. Now, along with salt, you can add any other spices you like. I started with 1 teaspoon of Paprika.

1/2 teaspoon of Garlic Powder

And, of course, salt, to taste.

Mix your spices well.

The chips should be done by now! And how delicious and golden brown do they look?!

Take your baked chips and place them into a plastic food bag.

Add as much of your spice mix as you want.

Tie the bag properly, and give it a good shake.

Take the chips out and serve! Enjoy with fresh salsa, soup or by themselves!
