Chocolate Chunk Buns

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Meriful

I thought I'd post a really simple recipe today for Chocolate Chunk Buns.

I call them buns because before the rise of the cupcake, I used to call little cakes baked in paper cases - buns or fairy cakes. I think without the icing it's a bun but with icing it's definitely a cupcake!
Anyway, this is one of the easiest cake recipes, I've come across ever - 5 ingredients and it uses the all in one method! How you decorate them is completely up to you - but I'll be honest with you, these taste amazing straight out of the oven!
This recipe makes approximately 9 buns.

A Simple List of Ingredients:

1. Butter
2. Sugar
3. Eggs
4. Self-Raising Flour
5. Milk Chocolate

Bismillah, let's begin!

The day that I baked these started off with another beautiful sunrise which I just had to share!

Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 5/190C/375F. Line a cupcake tray with paper cases.

Place 3.5 ounces (100 grams) of Self-Raising Flour into a bowl.

3.5 ounces (100 grams) of Sugar

3.5 ounces (100 grams) of Softened Butter

2 Eggs

Beat together for about 2 minutes until smooth and creamy.

Next, the chocolate! Take 3.5 ounces (100 grams) of Milk Chocolate, chopped. You could use chocolate chips too.

Mix in the chocolate.

Place 2-3 teaspoons into each case, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

Decorate with icing or serve them plain! It's up to you!
